Evening Bible Studies
Walk in the Word Bible Study – Sundays @ 5:30pm
A WALK IN THE WORD… Join us in Room A (Parlor) for an interactive study through the letter of Philippians. This study is lead by our director of Radical Outreach & lead Journey preacher Brian Townsend. All are welcome!
Cross Connections Bible Study – Thursdays @ 6pm
Take a deeper dive into the scripture readings for that upcoming Sunday each week. This small group is led by Rev. George Miller of El Calvario UMC, Rev. Dr. Heike Miller of University UMC, and local Certified Lay Ministers.

Our Sunday School classes all meet during the hour between Sunday services from 9:45am-10:45am. All of our classes are open and welcoming to newcomers. If you would like more information on any of our Sunday School classes you can contact the individual leaders listed below by e-mail, or contact the Church Office.
*Childcare is available in Room 5 for children 6 weeks to 4 years during the Sunday School hour.
Kids of the Kingdom
For children from Kindergarten – 5th grade. This class aids children in Christian development by introducing them to God’s word and the love of Jesus Christ. The curriculum is a rotational model that includes Music, Storytelling, Games, Cooking, and Videos; all directly related to the scripture lesson.

For youth from 6th-8th grade. This class is centered around studying the Bible, discussion of real life applications, and how our faith can aid in everyday situations and circumstances.

Growing in Faith
A new class for high school students who want to complete confirmation or just grow deeper in their faith. This session of classes will conclude with confirmation on Sunday, April 26th. We have six dynamic teachers lined up to teach this class including Pastor Heike Miller, Director of Children & Youth Ministries Tracy Esslinger, and more.
Classroom: Meeting Room C
This class explores the stories of the Bible by looking at the history, studying the facts, reading the scripture, and lots of discussion. Everyone’s opinions matter and no one person is right or wrong. Every scripture means something different to each person, and we learn from each others’ interpretation.
They are currently using the study Final Words from the Cross by Adam Hamilton. This study explores the meaning of Jesus’ dying words for our lives today.

Classroom: Meeting Room B
This class examines a wide range of Christian literature, and topical studies using books, video, and internet sources. Class members enjoy lively discussions and friendly interactions each week.
Currently studying “7 Men and the Secret of Their Success” until March 1st. They will soon begin studying “The Passion Play” on March 8th

Classroom: Meeting Room A
This class is an opportunity to learn more about the Bible by meeting with adults of all ages in a small group setting to discuss and learn about how God’s word applies to our everyday live, so that we may show (shine) the love of Christ (the SON) in today’s world. The SONshine class studies the Bible through using media, books, and scripture.
For their Lenten study they will be using the book The Case for Easter by Lee Strobel which probes the core issues of the resurrection. Jesus Christ, risen from the dead: superstitious myth or life-changing reality?
